About me
Eetu Auvinen (My CV on LinkedIn)
Licensed naprapath (BSc)
Master of Health Care
Studies in sports medicine and coaching (30 ECTS)
Numerous short continuing professional development courses on the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.
Besides my practice, I also work part-time as a lecturer at XAMK University of Applied Sciences.
About me As a naprapath, I specialize in the evaluation, treatment, and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders. My approach combines manual therapy, guidance, and therapeutic exercises, with an emphasis on active patient participation in the rehabilitation process. I focus particularly on the rehabilitation of persistent (chronic) or recurring pain and sports injuries, but I am happy to help with any musculoskeletal disorder. I aim to provide cost-effective, evidence-based, and impactful treatment.
My treatment methods are based on Western medicine and evidence-based knowledge. High-quality scientific studies from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden have shown that naprapathic treatment is effective and cost-efficient. Both international and national treatment guidelines recommend manual therapy, especially for lower back pain rehabilitation. For most musculoskeletal disorders, therapeutic exercise is the most effective rehabilitation method.
What happens during your appointment?
Your first visit involves a thorough interview and clinical examination to exclude non-musculoskeletal diseases and identify underlying causes of your condition. The session typically includes initial treatment unless further investigations are needed. I use both passive and active treatment methods, including joint and nerve mobilization techniques, soft tissue techniques, and physical treatments. Home or gym-based exercise therapy is a critical part of the treatment plan. When necessary, I refer patients to other appropriate healthcare professionals.
